NOTD: OPI - My Private Jet

Last week I went to Planet Parfum to pick up the OPI Black Shatter polish from the Katy Perry collection (blurk, Katy Perry..), but it was still not available. Sigh. So I picked up this one, My Private Jet. Apparently, it has been discontinued before and then came back, but without the holo? Now why would you do that, OPI? Anyway, I love it without the holographic too. It's a weird bronwnish (sometimes copper?) color with micro glitters in it, very special. I tried it with a matte topcoat too and it reminded me a lot of some sort of granite. Yup, granite. School has officially taken over my life.

I'm wearing 2 coats with a (matte) topcoat. The only downside was that it chipped pretty quickly, like on the same day I applied it. Not too happy about that.

NOTD: OPI Big Apple Red

Last weekend I was at my friends S.'s house and she was talking about this polish she bought when we were out shopping. She picked up OPI's Big Apple Red when we were out shopping some time before. She told me she wasn't too pleased about it, because it was chipping like crazy. Well, that's normal after an entire week, haha. I was there anyway so I asked if I could try it.

It's a very thin formula in my opinion, but it applied quite easy. I did mess up a few times though. It's not a 100% opaque colour after 2 coats, you could see a change of colour where my nail grows out white. I don't know if you can spot that in the pictures, but in real life it looked like my nails were dirty when they were not. As for chipping, it took about 3 days before I could see some chipping and tip wear. I think I could've worn it up to 10 days maybe, but I was getting sick of that bright red so I removed it. As for longevity (with a base and topcoat that is) it gets an A+. As for the colour, it's not the best red for my skin tone, but it is for my friend.
